Many people say that hitting is the hardest skill to master... in any sport.
A hitter has to make contact with a round bat on a round ball, being thrown at different rates of speed and from different arm angles.
Not to mention... he only has 2/5 of a second to decide whether to swing or to hold with each pitch!
And that's just the physical side.
Throw in the pressure of being isolated all alone at the plate. The expectations from coaches, parents, and teammates. The tension of a clutch situation.
And that nagging fear of failure that's in the back of every athlete's mind...
It's not surprising that so many kids "psych" themselves out and turn into a bundle of nerves before they ever step into the batters box!
As a coach, there's nothing more painful than watching a kid strike out repeatedly... and slowly but surely lose his self-confidence.
And as a parent, it can be downright heartbreaking.
If only your players were able to eliminate the doubts and the fears that live inside their mind … if only they were able to quiet their brains and let their physical skills do the talking…
Well, now they can!
